    Quebec City (October 30, 2012) – Auberge Saint-Antoine invites guests to come experience the magnificent colours of fall leaves in the heart of Quebec City’s Old Port with a special offer for American Thanksgiving. This historic Canadian hotel pays tribute to the American holiday with a warm ambience and gourmet food prepared by the city’s best chefs.

    Available from November 22nd – November 25th and starting from CAD $209 per night, guests can enhance their stay with the option of a special thanksgiving themed meal at Panache restaurant. Priced at CAD $80, the special prix fixe menu includes:

    Cream of butternut squash, smoked bacon soup
    Duck egg with corn and caraway
    Roasted turkey served with cranberry and crispy potatoes
    Selection of Quebec’s fine cheeses
    Pumpkin pie with licorice and gingerbread
    Menu is prepared with fresh ingredients from Auberge Saint-Antoine’s organic farm

    The Tailor

    Mr. Gaudiose Montreuil, a tailor living at 12 rue Saint-Antoine in the late 19th century, often used buttons made of bone, some of which were produced in Québec City. Button makers sliced bone into thin layers and cut out discs that were then pierced with holes, decorated, and polished.
