Auberge Saint-Antoine introduces Wednesday wine pairings at their renowned Panache Restaurant2/20/2013

Quebec City, February 20th, 2013: Beginning February 27th, each Wednesday at Auberge Saint-Antoine’s Panache restaurant will honour wine in an incredibly unique way. This reinvented dining experience will allow guests to order their meal by simply choosing their wine.

This reverse wine and food tasting programme, entitled “La Table du Sommelier,” will be guided by the guests’ choice in wine. They will discuss their preferred flavours with the sommelier, and the meal will then be specially prepared and selected by Chef Julien Dumas – the innovative chef who has been at Panache for almost a year.

The package includes four courses and of course a glass of wine to accompany and is priced at $120 per person (including tax and service), with the option of adding a platter of assorted cheeses for an extra $22. The first ten people to book the package each Wednesday receive a free “Kir Panache” cocktail.

    The Tailor

Mr. Gaudiose Montreuil, a tailor living at 12 rue Saint-Antoine in the late 19th century, often used buttons made of bone, some of which were produced in Québec City. Button makers sliced bone into thin layers and cut out discs that were then pierced with holes, decorated, and polished.
