Skiing in and out of town
Enjoy winter sports in an accessible and enchanting location with a spectacular view of the Saint-Lawrence River. The Plains of Abraham provide 11.5km of ski trails laid out for beginner and intermediate cross-country skiers, a 3.8km trail (round trip) for snowshoeing, and 6.7km of walking trails. A waxing room and two heated rest areas are also available.

To enjoy backcountry skiing Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier, a 25 minute drive from the hotel, proposes you ski trails between 10km and 33km.

Stoneham, situated 20 minutes from downtown Quebec City, has 42 trails spread across 3 mountains, one Olympic halfpipe and 3 snow parks. With its 19 floodlit trails, it is renowned for the numreous night skiing trails. The variety of trails makes it challenging for all levels. Here, you can also enjoy nice skiing with a funfilled après-ski.

Mont Saint-Anne, 40 minutes from Quebec City, boasts great ski conditions, with 71 down hill trails, 2 snow parks, 1 boardercross run and 4 trails of alpine touring, spreading over 3 sides of the mountain. With 19 illuminated runs, Mont-Sainte-Anne has the highest vertical drop for night skiing in Canada. This resort, renowned for the quality of its snow and the daily grooming of its slopes, has one of the province's longest ski seasons. The gondola offers breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River.  
The resort has also the largest cross-country ski centre in Canada, with its 200 km (124.3 mi.) of trails, including 191 km (118.7-mi.) network for skating. It is located only 7 km (4.3 mi.) from the downhill ski trails.

Forêt Montmorency is located in the heart of the boreal forest at only 50 minutes from Quebec City. In the wintertime, cross-country skiing is the featured activity here, however winter conditions permit a multitude of other activities, such as snowshoeing, skishoeing, sledding, skating and wildlife watching. 

Le Massif (60-minutes from Quebec City) has the highest vertical drop east of the Canadian Rockies (770 m/2,625 ft.). With its skiable terrain and slopes that seem to plunge straight down into the sea, the mountain is also renowned for its impressive annual snowfall (over 600 cm/236 in.). Expert skiers can explore close to 100 acres of off-trail terrain. 
Another fun activity to discover the Massif from a totally different angle is to experience the 7.5km sled run that winds down Mont Liguori, offering a spectacular scenery. Reservations are required longtime in advance as it is a very popular activity.
